Rocky has already released another amazing track off of the album, “Everyday” featuring a Rod Stewart sample, Miguel and Mark Ronson. Along with the fact that the album features producers Juicy J and Dangermouse, it just seems like the perfect recipe for a classic. After the recent death of his close friend and mentor, A$AP Yams, I think we’re about to be exposed to a much more sensitive and inspired Rocky, which will bring out his best work on the upcoming album. This is simply due to how talented and unique he is in both his music and video production in a way that perfectly represents who he is. After carefully dissecting each and every thing he did, he became my favorite rapper, and probably still is (sorry Action Bronson). I first started listening to Rocky after seeing his video for “Purple Swag” back in 2011, and then was enamored with his style and creativity after seeing the videos for “Goldie” and “Peso”. The song is broken into three separate parts, a beginning, middle, and end to his trip, and I love how his smooth, calm demeanor suddenly transforms around 3:15 and then fades back into this wavy, afterglow state of mind towards the end. Rocky co-directed the video with Dexter Navy, and this video is just another product of Rocky’s ability to perfectly intertwine his music with his videos in incredible, ascetically appealing fashion.

Obviously, when a track is entitled LSD, you expect the music video to be filled with an array of colors and effects, but this video exceeds those expectations, and is what I consider to be a visual masterpiece. A$AP Rocky gave us a little preview of his upcoming album At.$AP drops last night when he premiered the smooth, hazy, psychedelic song “LSD”, accompanied with a music video that rivals the quality of the song.
